Dear Lois, sisters, and family; It has been many years since we grew up together on Nevada Ave! I'm thinking of all of you and offer my sympathy. I missed the Thursday service, as I returned yesterday (Friday) to Minneapolis from an out-of-state conference. No matter how old you are, it is sad to lose your mother. With caring thoughts . . .

Lois, sisters, and family; It has been many years since we grew up on Nevada avenue! I'm so sorry to learn of your loss of your mother. I just returned to Minneapolis on Friday, too late to attend the services. I send all of you my prayers - it is sad to lose a mother at any age.

Viola and my mother, Adell (Thielges) Forsblad were very close growing up and I was fortunate to meet Viola when I brought my mother over to visit her. Viola and I kept in contact several times via the phone while my mother was in the nursing home. She was a very kind and generous lady and I am so grateful that I was able to know her. My thoughts and prayers go to the family in the loss of your mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Karen Vinje

I will always love my grandma and I already miss her very much. I will never forget how her singing always made me smile. She used to always sing to us (no matter how off key she was) when ever we would see her. She would sing “how much is that doggie in the window” to us in German all the time when we were little and even if we couldn’t be with her in person she would always sing to us over the phone “I love you, a bushel and a peck, you bet your pretty neck, I do” before she would say goodbye.
I love you grandma, a bushel and a peck. I wish I could be there with you one last time.

Viola was a really great, generous person. It was always a pleasure to see her during the summer when she came with Don Bridell to the Nevis area. She was so hard working and easy going. She brought back many memories to me of growing up on a farm. She loved to listen to Uncle Don and Tom play music. We truly enjoyed her. She seemed to truly enjoy her life and her family. I am sure she will be very much missed by everyone. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

Vi was a good friend and a long time neighbor to us for over 25 years.

I have notified all her neighbor's on Nevada Avenue to let them know of Vi's passing.
