HITCHON, Violet
With heavy hearts, the family announces that Violet Hitchon of Edmonton, AB, formerly of Ispas, AB, passed away on November 2, 2014 at the age of 87 years.
Violet is survived by her nephew, Bruce Sembaliuk; niece, Julie Trache (Nick Libicz); sister-in-law, Carolyn Mulek; and caregiver, Raisa, all of Edmonton; as well as numerous other relatives. Predeceased by her parents, Fred and Barbara; sister, Mary; brother, George; and infant brother, Nick.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Violet's caregivers.
Prayers Wednesday, November 5 at 8:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue.
Funeral Rite Thursday, November 6 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 10951 – 107 Street, T5H 2Z5. Reverend Father Cornell Zubritsky officiating with interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral.
