Violet M. Morris

Violet M. Morris, 35, of New Hartford, crossed into the waiting arms of her beloved father January 9, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. Violet was born May 14, 1975 in Ilion, NY, daughter of Gloria Gatto Cioch and the late Stephen Cioch. She married Robert Morris in April of 2002 in New Hartford at the home of her beloved mother in law, Rosemary. Violet had been employed at the Hook, Line and Sinker Restaurant in New Hartford where she proudly worked her way through Utica College, graduating in 2002, meeting many special people that were important to her along the way. Violet's primary vocation for the past six years was as a devoted mother whose focus was raising her three children Bobby, Gwendolyn Jane and Stephen William. She was a member of the New Hartford Presbyterian Church and the Yahnandasis Golf Club. Violet is survived by her husband Robert and her children all of New Hartford; her mother Gloria, her sisters Gloria Sheppard and family of Waterville, Stephanie Migliorie of Frankfort; her nieces and nephews Jessica and Bobby Sheppard and Danielle and Dante Migliorie; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law William and Jill Morris and family of New Hartford, very dear cousins that meant so much to her, and her many aunts and uncles. She also leaves many close friends that were with her all the way and she never forgot, Dick, Nancy, John, Debbie, Nameer, Dr.A. The funeral will be on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the New Hartford Presbyterian Church, 45 Genesee St. New Hartford. Interment will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 4-7 PM at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.
