Pat was a beautiful woman in every way. My first memory of her was when she was expecting Greg. Soon, Pat and Lloyd bought a home around the corner from us, the Nefe family, in Brown Deer. In a couple of years, my sister Heidi and I became the family baby sitters for Greg and Sherry. Pat always treated me as an adult, and she was like a second mother/loving aunt to me. She had a wonderful sense of bumor and was so very positive, upbuilding, spiritual and fun to be around. My heart is heavy with hurt from her loss, but filled with joy at soon seeing her in the paradise earth!

My very first memory of meeting my future mother-in-law, Pat, was at the airport as she had a quick layover in Atlanta. I was so nervous meeting her because her son and I had been dating for only a few months and I had only spoken to her on the phone once prior. As I recall, she was just as nervous to meet me as well! I'm sure she was thinking that I was way too short for her tall son. Lol. Like what is this little cupcake doing dating her tall glass of milk? I was impressed by her height as well! Those Ryan's are all tall! Pat had a beautiful smile and her laugh was seriously contagious. Nervousness aside, she and I exchanged small gifts that day and in time we exchanged a heartfelt appreciation for eachother. We got to a point where we could talk for four or five hours straight about life and our childhoods. She loved to share memories and stories and I really enjoyed learning about her life. I will miss her cute laugh and her funny stories. But we'll have forever to catch up- just around the corner. Sleep well until then my dear mother Pat. You will be missed!
