Davy & family,
Just wanted you to know that as I pray for you this morning, I understand your pain. No one can take the place of our mothers. But, know that, no matter how much we love our mothers, our love for them does not come close to God's love for them. She's in His arms now. I wish I had known her better. She had a full life and I can't imagine seeing my spouse and six siblings go before me. Looking forward to seeing her in heaven one day.

I remembery working with Virgie at Singing River Hospital. She was an inspiration to all of us that worked in the Information Systems Department. I have not seen her in years but I remember her smiling face and that she always had a kind word to share with everyone. She will be missed.

To all the Davis'. I am sorry I missed seeing you all today. I so wanted to be there with you, but I was at work and by myself,so I was minding the Sr.Ctr. I loved Virgie very much. I could ALWAYS laugh and joke with her and receive a big smile. She never complained, even though you knew she was huring. She was a dear friend and I will never forget her. With my love and prayers. My sincere and deepest condolences go out to all of the Davis family as well as my prayers to comfort you in this time. While we have lost a wonderful, precious, respected, loving woman who many cherished on this earth, Heaven has truly gained another beautiful soul. I know she will be sorely missed here but one day soon I will see her smiling face again as I know she was my sister in Christ.

What a blessing and privilege to have known Virgie Davis...We will remember volley ball in her pool, flowers from her yard she shared, watching her Christian walk, being loved by her, loving that smile and wave as we passed...she will long be remembered!

Heaven has welcomed a beautiful soul! She will be missed tremendously by all who had the privilege of knowing her here on her earthly home. My deepest condolences to all of her family and friends.

Having known Virgie for so many years, it is hard to express the LOVE and respect that everyone had for her. As secretary in our department, she would always put a smile on your face when you entered her office, even if you were not having a great day. She was always a great listener and advisor to us all - a second mom so to speak. To all of her family, please accept my heartfelt prayers and know in your heart that Virgie is now with her beloved Whitfield smiling down on all of us. Toni Rathel

Ms Virgie was such a fun-loving and good-hearted lady. She offered words of encouragement and "suggestions" as to what should be done in certain situations. Many who knew her valued both. Rest in peace, sweet lady.

Terry, Davy and other family members. I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Virgie. As you know she was loved by Mom, my family and me. She was such a genteel "Southern Lady" and she will greatly missed by all who loved her. May God bless you all and give you peace, comfort and the courage to face each new day. Love & prayers.

Virgie was a much respected and much loved member of our deparatment, as secretary for Information Systems at Singing River Health System. Her secretarial skills were exceeded only by her skills as a mentor and surrogate mother to us all. While it has been years since I have seen her, I can still picture her smile in my mind's eye and hear her voice in my inner ear, including the occasional talking-to I got when doing something she didn't particularly agree with! She will be missed.

Mrs Virgie was one of the greatest ladies I ever knew. I loved her dearly. She was so strong for me and cared about me in a hard time of my life.
