It's been 10 years since you left us but your memory lives on in our thoughts and hearts. Miss you so much. I hear your laughter and we speak of you at each meeting with our classmates. RIP my dear friend. Karen Burchett Phillips (Pickle) that nickname you gave me many years ago.

We are so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. He and David worked together and had a great time whenever I would call and Rick answered the phone, we would carry on the funniest conversations. Our deepest sympathy to Angela, Michelle and his family.

I met Rick in 1974 when first employed working for the State of Ohio. He later became my supervisor while employed at the ODH Lab. We worked together for about 24 years... We were not only co workers but close friends. He will be sadly missed by many...

The best brother in law ever. He was a terrific husband to my sister and a true dad to Michelle. I miss you, Rick.

I am one of Rick's many first cousins. Even though he was older than me, he still spent time with his younger cousin. He could be such a tease! I also remember how kind he and Andrea were when my dad became ill and after his death. They would stop in to check on my mom and bring food. These are just two examples of his kindness and his love of family. Rick, I know that you are out of pain now and in a better place. You will be missed by so many people. Love, Teresa

My very good friend from the age of four. A classmate for 12 years and graduate of the class of Clay HS 1966. His love for dogs and the outdoors were the things he enjoyed. He loved '60's old time rock and roll music, dancing, bowling and the Buckeyes. So glad I got to enjoy these things with him. I worked with Rick at the Oh Dept. of Health Lab...he was a really great guy and fun to work with...Rest In Peace Rick...no one will forget you...

I have nothing but good memories of Rick in our high school days. I am sad our paths never crossed again after school. I know he is in a better place and if I see him again then I know that I am too. May God help the family cope with their loss. Fellow Classmate Joe Scurlock

Rick was a much loved member of the Class of 1966 at Clay High School in Portsmouth. I extend my condolences to his family and hope knowing how much he was loved by his class mates provides some comfort. Rick attended a class reunion not long ago and we had a chance to reunite with Rick.
I also extend my support and love to our class President, Lowell Howard, who was a dear friend to Rick.

Rick was so very kind. If you ask him for help he would ask when and where. I had a special relationship with Rick. What other man in their early 20's would take the time to let a teenager watch The Sound Of Music and Gone With The Wind over and over at the movies. He taught me to drive and was so very kind and didn't panic when I lost control of the car a little, Ha Ha. I'm sure Lowell will remember this because he was in the back seat floor praying LOL. I loved Rick with all my heart. I know he's free of pain and I'm glad, but I still will miss him. Jody
