Virgil McKinley Obituary
Born in Louisville, Virgil was a 1952 graduate of Flaget High School. He was a retired cartographer for the Defense Mapping Agency.
Preceding him in death were a son Jeff, a son-in-law Buk and his sister Marjorie Ridge.
Survivors include his wife, the former Cindy Mann; children, Mark McKinley (Beth), Karen E. McKinley (Linda Hill) and Lisa Liford; daughter-in-law Jan McKinley; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at both the Palliative Care Unit at Baptist Health and Hosparus for the wonderful care and concern shown to Virgil during his illness.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road, with entombment at Resthaven. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2-8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society or Metro Animal Services.
