I am so sorry for your loss. I tried to call the number I had but it was disconnected. I asked around but could find no one who knew where she was. I always tried to see her when I was in Milwaukee
I loved your mom and was so grateful for the friendship she had with my mom Mary Shinners. My dad went to Marquette high with your dad. And dad went to Journalism school with your mom. We live in a small world. She is with your dad but she will be missed

Ginny was like a sister to my mom, Mary Shinners, for over 50 years. She was a bright light in our lives and my mom joined her both as a docent at the art museum and as a volunteer at Froedert. I am sure there were some joyous reunions this Christmas. I will always carry her memory in my heart.

I am really sorry that I only found out about Virginia's death 1/6/17. My family & I lost touch with her.. A year or so ago we tried contacting her at San Camillo but she was gone. Attempts to go further failed...
She was my parents special friend and she was my agent when I purchased my house.
So sad,
Donald Shinners (414-774-5469)
A loving toast to you Ginny

Mrs. Rodger's was my favorite of my mom's ( Bev Schirf) many wonderful friends. She had the warmest heart and one of the all time great sense of humor.
Ginny was a co-founder of Treasure Traders with my mon and I have so many wonderfull memories, not to mention a few treausures of my own, of those classic estate sales. Along with Mrs. Hall, they were the true Golden Girls.

Ginny, You were my mentor and my friend. You taught me so much about estate liquidation, and your daughter Mary and I became fast friends and carpool mates at Mt. Mary.
To the extended Rogers family, please know that your mother touched the lives of so many, and made the world a more lively and inviting place to live. I will miss her signature. "Kaaaathy"
God's blessings to you all.

We are saddened to lose a friend we have loved our whole lives but we are grateful for a life so well lived. It was not a true Newell family party without the Rogers and Ginny and Bill's life long kinship with our parents was always a treasure. Ginny went to high school with the Carey girls and Bill stood guard outside our parents' "honeymoon suite" on the train en route to San Diego during WWII. That connection lasts the eternity.
God Bless you all.
