I remember Virginia as a Faculty member in the Graduate school at Bank Street College of Education. Knowing her was loving her. She was like a grandmother for my children, she always gave me good patenting advice, she helped me better understand the NYC public schools system and how to be a self advocate for my children. Rest in peace dear Virginia. Esperanza Olivo

I´m very grateful to have been adopted into the Miller clan and think the official ceremony was probably the first time I joined the family Seder at Ginny´s apartment. She was -on that occasion, and all others, a generous, welcoming host with such an air of delighted enthusiasm- that one felt that she was truly happy to have you & enjoyed your company.
She was so good at that, her own gifts and talents were not the first thing she offered, but of course, her own presence was so interesting and rich, that it truly was entertaining and delightful to spend time with her.
Zach and I were so grateful to have the gift of a few days on the cape with her all to ourselves. Having happy hour on the porch with her at sunset talking about all the large and small things was a precious gift.
I will think of her every time I use some of her amazing pottery and look forward to communing with her in a kettle pond.
