Virginia O'Neill Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 6, 2012.
Virginia "Jean" O'Neill, 77
Formerly of Rockford and Chicago, Illinois, Jean passed peacefully from this world attended by family. After the passing of husband Dan, Jean moved to be near family in Golden, Colorado in 2003 and never looked back. All six children, spouses, and grandchildren will gather to celebrate her life. Jean is remembered for her sense of humor, gentle way with children, and love of penguins (and Bears)! A strong-willed woman with a stalwart heart, Jean will be missed and fondly remembered. She is survived by her six children Daniel, Michael, Margaret (Peggy), James, Kathleen and Peter, thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A private service will be held Friday in celebration of Jean's life, and she will be interred alongside her husband Dan in Rockford at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sacred Heart House of Denver assisting single mothers or the Golden Backpack Program, helping at-risk school kids get the nutrition they need to learn and prosper.
