Vivian Lina Day began her new journey on Tuesday, November 8th. Vivian felt very fortunate that her life was filled with love, laughter, happiness and an abundance of friends. Born in Anamosa, Iowa, the only child of Ben and Laura Engelbart, from whom she received the gift of a love of life and a sense of humor. She deeply loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also, she loved dancing, golf, animals, politics and sports. She worked for many years for the Boulder Valley School District. She volunteered for several organizations, hosted several exchange students and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Vivian married Wally Schneider in 1948 and George Day in 1974, both of whom are deceased. She leaves behind her children: Randall, Kristy and Cynthia; grandchildren: Danielle, Dion, Erika, Zak, Jake, Kelsy, Jacey; and great grandchildren: Elias, Meri, Talia, Noa Rose. She would have considered it the finest tribute if friends choose to make a donation in her honor to an animal shelter of their choice. The family will hold a private celebration of Vivian's wonderful life.

Vivian was my neighbor for many years and gave me some great advice at times. I'll always remember how direct, sensible, out going and funny she always was... she was an awesome lady and we will miss her.
