Vivian Solar Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Sep. 4 to Sep. 5, 2007.
When tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right there in your heart. A homemaker, she died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, at her home in Bayou Pigeon surrounded by her loving family. She was 82 and a native of Grand Bayou. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, on Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Bayou Pigeon, on Thursday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Clarence J. Waguespack, celebrant. Interment in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Cemetery, Pierre Part. Survived by her children, Adam and Eloise Landry, Barbara and Lonnie Sutton, Janice and Bobby Gaudet, and Rueben and Kelly Solar; very special and loving friend, Percy Domingue; three brothers, Ridley, Richard and Lynn Paul Hebert; 10 grandchildren, Missy, Marcy, Ashley, Lacey, Christy, Jody, Laurie, Jessica, Shane and Mary Kassis; and eight loving great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husbands, Wilbert Landry and Everette Solar; parents, Adam and Odette Hebert; and a sister, Eve Mae Hebert. She was active in her church and a past member of St. Joan of Arc Parish Council and Ladies Altar Society. A very special thanks to Dr. William H. Hines, Dr. Steven Gremillion, Hospice of Baton Rouge and her wonderful neighbors, especially Kim and Bryan Landry and family, and all who helped us in our time of need. Her favorite quote was: "I love to dance and I shall dance until I can't dance anymore."

My deepest sympathy to Ms. Vivian's family. Although I have not seen her in many years, I can still picture her when she came over at Uncle Richard and Aunt Maude's house. She was such a pleasant person to be around. She was the type of person who just enjoyed all that life had to offer. She will be missed by all who knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
