I was sitting in my bed watching Blacula and looking at beautiful Vonetta I was just wondering how she was doing,so sorry to hear of her passing. God truly have a angel and a beautiful soul with him.

I first met Vonetta McGee back in 1984, in Chicago, while on the Donahue Show. She was judging the United States Men's Pageant, an event that I created. I lived in L.A. at the time and Vonetta lived in the San Fernando Valley, if I remember correctly. She was a lovely, down-to-earth, and gracious/beautiful woman. She (and her talents), will be sorely missed! My heartfelt condolences go out to her family. Larry York, Austin TX

i just was laying in bed with a broking foot and watching tv.and a movie came on with clint eastwood and i saw ms.mcgee for the first time.i thought to myself who is that beautiful woman playing the love interest.so i got up outta of bed to google her.and i am so sorry to hear of her passing.god bless her and god bless her family.

In Memory of Vonetta McGee:
I feel as if I have lost a close friend or relative. I was inspired by all of your performances. And I remember Carl Lumbly from "Night John" and a remake of "Sounder". Losing you shocked me as with the deaths of Madge Sinclair, Rosalind Cash, and Roxie Roker. All beautiful actresses gone too soon. Your passing was one that I had missed. My son had to tell me. I am always deeply saddened by the loss of such a beautiful and vibrant soul. May God embrace Carl and Brandon to help them thru this difficult time. May you rest in peace.
