We went to Truesdell Elementary School from 1994 to 1996 Emerson St NW Washington DC is where we planned all our interceptions on the field,,,,, you played for me when I permanently damaged my leg in pre school ,,, Always the best Friend,,, Cardozo Hs JV cornerback ,, Edwards 27

To the family, many, many friends, and fans of this great person who played and loved the game of football. Vontae Davis was a cornerback for the Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts, and Buffalo Bills, who famously retired during halftime of a 2018 game. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together with Vontae Davis. May the love and many, many special memories you shared with your devoted loved one show how much your life was touched by him. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of Vontae Davis. We will never forget Vontae Davis, what a tremendous goal and accomplishment. May family, friends and extended family cherish his memories.

Our son, Rodney Pittman, played football with Vontae at the University of Illinois. They had a special bond not only as Fighting Illini teammates but also as DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) Brothers. We enjoyed every moment spent with Vontae and we were deeply saddened to hear of his passing.
Our family send heartfelt condolences to the Davis family. Sweet Rest in Paradise Vontae!
