Dear Mrs. Patel, Ekta and family,

I was surprised to hear, from Gedi Howell, of Mr. Patel's death. I extend my deepest sympathy to you at this time. Through the many years Mr. Patel and I worked together at the Methodist Hospital in Somererville, we had many serious conversations regarding life, diety and business. I always listened with a hearing ear and spirit. Others have mentioned Mr. Patel's wit and good sense of humor. He was a great man in many ways...knowledgable about so many areas of life....generous and kind....and as serious about life and life circumstances as he was humorous about the same things from time to time.

I have good memories and a sincere appreciation for Mr. Patel and all he brought to those around him. I know he extended a helping hand to those in need many times.

I was honored to be invited to Ekta's wedding reception. It was beautiful. Sylvia Kee and I attended together and enjoyed the beautiful and happy occasion.

Ekta, your father was so very proud of you...and I hear you now have a child. I am so glad that Mr. Patel got to know the joys of being a grandparent. You were always such a blessing to your parents...always. Mr. Patel's love for family was evident to us by the things he would share...the storeis he would tell.

Mrs. Patel, my heart goes out to you in your loss. I will keep you in my prayers in the coming days as you find your way forward. Being a grandmother and now a great grandmother myself, I know Ekta and her family will continue to bring joy into your life.

Dear Sangitaben , Ekta and family. We are deeply sadden by this message. We have always cosidered him as the best friend of our family. We pray the God to give u all strength to bear this loss. And our prayer are with u all for healing quickly. Sorry that we can not be there in person. Jsk.
