W. Hamilton Touchstone

Retired Services for W. Hamilton Touchstone will be held today at 1 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Douglas Barlett and Hermes Broadhead officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Mr. Touchstone, 78, of Meridian, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at Alliance Health Care Center. He was born in Stonewall on June 14, 1929. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force he attended the Lakeland Assembly of God School in Lakeland, Fla. and later made his home in Meridian. He was active in Inter-Denominational Christian Lay Ministries. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Grace Clark Touchstone of Meridian; a son, Richard Touchstone and his wife, Ruth, of Galveston, Texas; a daughter, Miriam Nustas of Dallas; a sister, Sara Touchstone McDonald of Pearl; a brother, James Hulon Touchstone and his wife, Harriett, of Meridian; granddaughters, Rachel Rink and her husband, Ron, of Houston, Texas, Summer Hooper and her husband, Bill; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Allie Touchstone.
