Walker Don Weathers

Dear Weathers Family,
I didn't know him well, but well enough to know he loved our Lord and was a man of faith. May God continue to bless his family.

Dear Rhonda,

I am so incredibly sorry that I have not reached out to you and your family before now. I honestly did not know about this until is read a few minutes ago the entry in the latest Baylor Docket Call magazine.

Walker was a fine, fine person. I know that your loss is hard, even now, to come to grips with. Please know that you and your family will be in our prayers.

I am so very saddened to hear of Walker's tragic death. Rhonda, you and your beautiful children are in my thoughts. All my love to you during this difficult time.

It is an unbelievable tragedy to hear of Walker's passing. My sincerest love and sympathy goes to all of his wonderful, loving family. You all are in my prayers.

I just heard and want to extend my condolences to the entire family. My Dad, Hugo thought the world of Walker and was proud to be a part of his life. I know Walker touched a lot of peoples lives and he will be honored in the gates of heaven.

Prayers out to the Weathers family. I remember Walker and his brothers as neighbors in the late 60's and through jr. high and high school.

As I write this, I'm remembering Walker's deliberately unique approach/ pronunciation of the Spanish language with a sad smile.

Chris and I were overwhelmed with saddness to learn of Walker's passing; but know there is heart-felt peace for his family and friends in the knowledge that he was a Christian with the highest regard from everyone who knew him. I personally had a great relationship and respect for Walker both as a fellow deacon and our mutual interest in aviation. Our sincere condolence to his loving family.

I grew up with Walker and his brothers at West Erwin,and he personified everything the Bible says about being a son, husband, father, and friend. We will miss Walker so much. He made us feel welcome when we came to Tyler 22 years ago and became our firend, customer, lawyer, and trusted advisor. Walker lived a very worthy and upright life. He was constantly offering words of encouragement to those who had various struggles in their lives. He truly was a peacemaker and he will be missed. To Rhonda and the family, we love you and our prayers go out to you.

I grew up with all the Weathers family as a member at West Erwin. Walker was everything and more than what was written about him here. I know he is watching over us now, along with our loved ones who've gone on before us.

I am compelled to remember a sweet, endearing spirited man, one whom I admired as a husband, father, and friend. He was a wonderful husband to my co-worker, a lively cruise-mate,and a man who awed me with all his talents and abilities, not the least of which was showing up at our office to fill a "hole" in the schedule! We at the office will surely miss him greatly. I know of the awesome joy he brought to Rhonda. We love you all. Mary Ann & "the office crew".
