Wallace C. (Cliff) Adcox II, 58, of Signal Mountain, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009. Cliff was born Dec. 17, 1950, and grew up in St. Elmo, Tenn. He graduated from Chattanooga City High School and attended Dalton State College. He earned his Tennessee Master Plumbers license in 1979 and had a plumbing company for several years. He spent more than 20 years in sales in the carpet industry and was employed by Tuftco Corp., Chattanooga Tufters and Cobble Tufting Machine. He sincerely appreciated the friendships he had with many business associates. Cliff was a member of Cleveland Christian Fellowship Church. He drew great strength from his love for and relationship with the Lord and from the love of his brothers and sisters in Christ. Cliff was preceded in death by his father, Wallace C. Adcox Sr.; his mother, Mary V. Adcox; grandfather, Thomas Vincent; grandmother, Grace Vincent; and several aunts and uncles.Cliff is survived by his wife of 32 years, Anne W. Adcox; daughter, Laura (Caleb) Goggans, Signal Mountain, Tenn.; son, John (Katie) Adcox, Greenville, S.C.; sister, Karen (Rick) Tremmel, Lutz, Fla; uncle, Clarence Vincent, Chattanooga; and many cousins.Services are at 3 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Strickland officiating. Private graveside services will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort to the family and view the memorial tribute.The family will receive friends 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road, Chattanooga.

Please accept my deepest sympathy in your loss. We at Mohawk Industries cherished Cliff's visits and humor. His flyrod building endeavors and zest for life. His witness for Christ will always stay with us along with his upbeat attitude even when things looked bad.
