Wallace (Wally) Richard Moroski Jr

Wallace R. ("Wally") Moroski, Jr., 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters Lisa Pelletier, Christine Strauss, Kim Moroski, Catherine Erkul and her husband Yusuf Erkul, and Susan Barron and her husband Chad Barron. Wally was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Alkebulan, Amber, Abysinnia, Harvest, Caleb, and Stephen.

He is also remembered fondly by extended family and friends who knew and loved him, including a close friend, Kathleen, who provided companionship and support over the past decade.

A standout athlete, Wally was a star basketball player and track sprinter at Worcester State College, serving as captain of both teams for most of his college years. He was always one for a good joke - even as a kid, frequently switching the sugar and salt on his mother.

Wally began his professional life as a dedicated math and science teacher before pursuing his passion for history and collectibles by opening a coin and stamp store in the Worcester area. He later transitioned into a successful sales career, becoming one of Getty Oil's top-ranked salesmen in Rhode Island for nearly 20 years, earning multiple "Salesman of the Year" honors. He concluded his career as the proud owner of a gas and service station in Lunenburg, MA.

Wally cherished the outdoors and had a deep love for hiking, clamming, and sailing- especially around Cape Cod. He enjoyed classic films, card games, puzzles, and time spent with friends. His do-it-yourself projects, affectionately known as "Wally jobs," were a true reflection of his inventive mind and hands-on approach to life.

He was a proud member of the Lithuanian Club and a committed volunteer at the Harvard Forest Museum in Petersham, MA.
