My Family and I would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Wally Amos. "Famous Amos" cookies was a household favorite in our home. My husband and daughter love chocolate chip cookies as their go to snack so "Famous Amos" cookies was always on our weekly grocery list. Needless to say, Mr. Wally and his cookies will never be forgotten.
May you always keep treasured memories of Mr. Amos in your heart, and may you find comfort knowing that God is close to the broken hearted. There is never a tear drop that he doesn't see. Nor is there never a moment when he doesn't care, never a time when he won't hear your prayers. May the God of all comfort give the Amos family the strength needed as you continue on this journey of life.
Respectfully,
Janelle Almendis

We were Brothers From Another Mother. I met Wally when we went for lunch after my Army retirement. I had been nicknamed "Famous Amos" by the Deputy VII Corps Commander during Desert Storm - and I went to Kailua to see Wally and apologize ... when he told me the story. We spent time baking and selling cookies and sharing thoughts and memories. He nicknamed me NOTSO. I will never forget Wally ... Jim Amos, US Army Retired. NOTSO
