I worked with football at West Point.
Walt met me ant took me it to look after me; I certainly needed it.

It was great that he and D came to my wedding; I´ll never forget that.

I was fortunate to get to know Walter and Denise over the years at the KU Basketball reunions and of course Ted's 90th birthday party in 2019. While a relative nobody in KS basketball lore, Walt and Denise were always so warm and friendly to me and everyone. I took this photo on the floor of the fieldhouse at the 2022, 125th KU basketball reunion...I got to stand right there with the two legends. Based on his condition, we had a sense that this would be the last reunion we would share with Walt. Many of us soaked up all we could of Walter that weekend. RIP fellow Jayhawk!!

I was teaching at San Carlos Park Elementary School. It was Read Across America Week. I called Walt to see if he would be a guest reader. Without any hesitation, he said yes!!!! The students and I will always remember Mr. Wesley.
