Liebe Trauerfamilie, wir möchten unser tief empfundenes Beileid ausdrücken. Walter und Erika waren unsere Nachbarn in den Bahamas und unseren Kindern wie Grosseltern zugetan. Wir werden sie sehr vermissen.

To the family of Mr. Walter Absil;
I am sorry to know that your Dad, Grand Father, Great Grand Father - Walter has died.
He was such a very gentle, humble, generous and loving person as I came to know and care for him even just a short time before his final hours. As I promised to him to watch his videos, then I realized after that, What a strong and passionate man, he was.....He is a big loss also to the Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre!
My deepest sympathy and prayers to the whole family. May he rest in peace!
