On Saturday, January 6, 2018, Walter Ayers, Indian Head, SK died at the age of 91 years. A family graveside service will be held in Indian Head Cemetery a later date. If friends so desire, contributions may be made to the Indian Head Branch, # 114 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Box 564, Indian Head, SK S0G 2K0 as tokens of remembrance. I remember him leaning back and laughing. Have thought of Walter often over the years. Condolences to the families, and friends he touched. A memorable guy.

My sympathies to all the Ayers and Gendron families. I think the last time I saw him was when I was home for Leona's funeral, he was in hospital at that time. Indian Head won't be the same without him.

So sorry to learn of Walters passing. I met him thru his involvement with the Air Cadets and Legion and he always put service before self. The Cadets loved him dearly for his pranks at Camp Saskadet and his sage wisdom. He will be missed by all.

Walter was held in high regard and respect by all who met him. I will always remember the good times we had at Camp Saskadet, around the Squadron and at the Legion. He was a true gentleman and will be greatly missed.

Walter was a wonderful man, always so friendly and helpful. He drove the drink cart at a number of our family's golf tournaments and always donated his tips back to our cause. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

RIP Walter! I will always remember our trips north with the Cadets and the great time we had (along with Ken) cooking for the cadets. I will always remember how the cadets respected you and looked up to you! I will cherish the chats and joking around when u would come out for coffee or a meal at the Craft-tea. Oh my. I was so saddened to hear of Walter's passing. He was one of my favorite Legion people when I was the Zone Commander. He was a super man and a wonderful friend. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family.
