I am so late with this but so heartfelt nonetheless. For 55 years I was blessed with a busy studio singing career and among my most honored and admired arrangers was Mr. Earl Brown. Earl was brilliantly talented and wrote vocal charts that were challenging to sing but soooo much fun! When I was 19 my first steady gig was as a member of the vocal group on the 60s variety show starring the one and only Danny Kaye. Earl worked for many years with Danny and wrote some of my favorite charts, including South Rampart Street Parade and Tall Hope. These two charts, among others, we performed in Danny´s nightclub act in Las Vegas and they were always so well received. Earl wrote for countless other celebrities as well, including Dinah Shore, Andy Williams and Carol Burnett, just to name a few. He left a wonderfully respected musical legacy....and oh yeah, he was just a really nice guy too. I miss him. Thanks for everything my friend and rest in sweet peace. Love, Diana Lee, Girl Singer

To the family and friends of Earl Brown. I was most fortunate to meet this great man while I was a student and working at the Logan Regional Hospital from 25 years ago. Earl was most generous and kind throughout the years of our friendship even though I had moved on first to New York City, then Hong Kong and finally Tokyo, Japan. I spoke with him last on his Birthday 25th December '07 and he mentioned the party he was having at home with friends. I have only just now learned of his passing and only wish I would have been able to attend his funeral services. I will miss him very much. With love and memories of a wonderful friend. Richard xx
