Walter Gurley

We all loved to see Al and June at our Venice Lions Club meetings. They were a devoted couple that I teased about their "public displays of affection" - a dear couple. Al had a witty sense of humor and it was fun to make him laugh. We will miss him. May his memory be a blessing.

Al Gurley is an individual who left a positive impression on everyone with his beaming smile. I first met Al and June when they joined the Lions club where they both served as faithful members for years. Al would always show up for the waterway clean up and breakfast. Though I will miss him, I am so proud to have spent time with him and to have known him. I will be more inclined to remember the grace of his light in my life. Rest in peace my friend.
