Owner of Bearbrook Farms
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Walter on Friday February 5, 2016, in hospital in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Inge (Stelling). Cherished father of Heidi (Marc) and Herbert (Andreanne). Special grandfather of Josh (Shanice) and Shayanna. Son of Freida (late Herbert Henn). Brother of Edgar (Marliese) and the late Gustov (Margit) and Rainer (Ingeborg). Special friend to Sharen. Walter was a very proud Canadian, many of his dreams became reality from farming to food, international development, a community man who contributed generously and he loved the farmers market with a passion. Special thank you to Dr. Melanchuk. Dr. Bernie, Dr Lo and the nursing staff. Friends are invited to gather at a Service in Memory of Walter at the Maple Leaf-Almrausch Club, 3928 Farmers Way, Carlsbad Springs on Wednesday February 10 at 3 p.m. followed by a reception until 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Ottawa Heart Institute, 40 Ruskin Ave. Ottawa, On. K1Y 4W7 or the Monfort Hospital Foundation, 713 Montreal Rd. Ottawa, On. K1K 9Z9 would be most appreciated by the family.

I'm sorry for the delay in sending you my condolences. We were in Mexico when Walter passed away. I was so sad to hear. I was happy and surprised to see Walter recently while out shopping. He still had a twinkle in his eyes and seemed in great spirits. He will be greatly missed as I have known him all my life and he has been a good friend to my family. My heart goes out to you all.

Our heartfelt condolences to the Henn family. Walter was a dear friend of our family for many years. He helped us out in many ways when we first immigrated to Canada back in the 80s. He was a very generous person to all and a great friend to my parents. He will be missed.
