Mrs. Jaster, Carol and family: I am sorry to read this obituary of Mr. Jaster. He was a wonderful man and I know you will miss him.

Dear Carol and Mrs. Jaster:
I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Jasters passing. Although it has been many decades since we were neighbours, I have fond childhood memories of time spent with Carol in your lovely home. I learned how to play the card game, "Old Maid," in your living room! I can still remember the joy I felt because all of you were cheering me on. Carol sitting cross-legged across from me on the posh wall-to-wall carpet, Mrs. Jaster and Gerald on the chesterfield, and Mr. Jaster poking his head around from the kitchen. You made me feel important! Thank you.
Sometimes I would use your smooth driveway to roller skate or ride my skateboard. I hoped you wouldn't mind; although, I was always a bit worried I might get in trouble. However, whenever Mr. Jaster arrived home from work, he was always kind and friendly. I can picture his big smile and feel his happy energy when he would pull his car into your driveway. He would encourage me to stay and play as long as I wanted. He made me feel special.
I remember there was always a feeling of love and respect within your family. I liked the way 'Mr. and Mrs. Jaster' looked at each other and spoke with each other.
I am thinking of you.
