Whilst we have never met - we are distant family and myself and Beris were so delighted to reunite your family with important family documents and so pleased that Walter had the chance to see these -your letter touched my heart yesterday when it arrived. Thinking of you all at this time.

Dearest Joan, Matt and family,

I was saddened to hear this news. my condolances. Joan, Matt has been a good friend and helped me in the library at Rock Springs so many times. It was after many conversations that I realized Matt Keen was the son of Joan Keen - my friend from the EUSD District office! It is impossible to work with someone and not learn about their family. While I had never met Walter, I have been aware of the health struggles. I know your family shares a strong faith in Christ and I pray that His peace may surround you and give you comfort and hope at this time and in the days to come.
