Walter was a wonderful man. He was very inspirational in me becoming a Firefighter. I still have the picture of him giving me a tour of his firehouse, while wearing his fire helmet, when I was a little boy. As I grew older, he was always a pleasure to be around and consistently made me smile and laugh. He will be missed

Uncle Walter holds a special place in my heart. He was kind and strong ...a real fireman, but with a gentile spirit that made you feel comfortable regardless of the circumstances. Uncle Walter could eat anything and everything...he would say.."Jo Jo, try some of this ,it's great (it was steak tartar)" I was a picky eater and he loved to bug about it !! I'm proud of the life my uncle lived. That is everything in this world; to know that you did a good job in this life. Rest well Uncle Walter..you deserve it. Love- Jo

Dear Poppy,
You had a hard time through this dessese. You fought through it in pain. You were a very active man before you were diagnossed. I loved when you came to our house for supper with nanny.
You will always be in my heart.
Love you forever and ever.

To all the Macdonald Family,
We will always remember the fun times we shared vacationing together in California and Hawaii. Walter was a quiet, gentle man with subtle humour. He's together with his Do and now has all the answers. Our deepest sympathy.

To Walter's family,
How sorry we are to hear of his passing. Walter was a wonderful man and I have many, many fond memories of him (and your mom and your family). I especially remember : Walter finishing our basement in Dorval, visiting our family in Buffalo, celebrating my Grandpa's birthday with the Bowmans every August in Lancaster, helping me move in to my dorm room at McGill (and he kept saying, "Aleash...are you sure you need ALL this stuff!"), visiting with him at Brenda's in CT, and just getting the chance to see him whenever we were in Montreal. He was family...like an uncle...and he was so wonderful to my dear grandparents. What a wonderfully sweet and kind man!
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
God Bless...
With Love,
Alicia & Ed DiGiulio

Please accept our thought and prayers for you and your family at this time. I remember Wally growing up as a great guy to be around always including the boys in stuff that he was doing. Nothing but fond memories of him growing up whether at the house on the golf course or the odd time at the firehouse.
Take care
William, Antonella and kids
