Pat and family,

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss him putting a smile on our faces. Nice and jovial man was your father. We apologize that we could not pay our respects in person.

All:
Thank you for your heartfelt notes of condolence. It was thoughtful and kind of you to take the time to share your memories of my Grandfather, Walter, with us. Your words were not only a comfort, but a source of strength for my family and me in this difficult time. Thank you.

Dear family of Walter's
Walter was always a breath of sunshine at the Cedars, a smile, song & "Hey Baby". Was sorry to hear of his passing, my Mom was a resident at the Cedars for 3 1/2 yr & passed way Oct 5 ( Dorothy Barker). Everyone always enjoyed his dancing. My sympathy goes out to your family. My prayers are with you.

I loved Walter and looked forward to seeing him a couple times a week at The Cedars and hearing him shout at me "Hey Baby or Hey Dimples". I loved talking about red wine and pasta fagioli all the time and hearing about stories of his younger years. I would smile every single time I'd see him and I will really miss his singing and dancing. So sorry for your loss and may Walter rest in peace with the rest of the good ones.....

You have our very deepest sympathy. Walter was like a ray of sunshine upon entering Cedars. His upbeat personality was so infectious. I loved when he'd "dance" in the hallways. He was quite an entertainer. My mother, Alene, who lived down the hall from him, would laugh and get such joy from his stories. It was such a pleasure getting to know Walter and he will be greatly missed.
With deepest sympathy, Renee Kociela (Alene Cavanaugh Family)

Dear Walt, Thank you for being a great neighbor when I was growing up. Your happy & positive energy always brightened others around you, that is a true gift. I also want to thank you for giving me one of my best friends......Janet. After all these years, I still think of her & miss her. Please give her & Ann a warm kiss & hug from me. Dear Rosann and family,

Please accept my deepest sympathy over the loss of your Dad. I had the pleasure of knowing Walter these past few years while working in the dietary dept. at Cedars. I waited on him many, many times in the dining room. He was a very nice man. Walter always told me he would dance at my wedding. I would always say he was 26 years or so late for that. He would laugh. That is how I will remember him. I am glad to have had the chance to know your Dad. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
May God bless you all.

Dear Walter:

We will miss you so much. Your laugh, the twinkle in your eye (even when you were trying to be a tough guy), your invitations to dance and your promise of Italian wine. I hope to see you on the other side with a glass of Italian wine in your hand. We will dance the jitterbug. Until then, rest in peace, my friend. I was privileged to know you.
