A wonderful man full of kindness who dealt with adversity like a true gentleman. A tremendous asset to our lives and the medical profession.

Dr. Reynolds was a joy to work with on the OHSU School of Medicine Alumni Board and was an outstanding President. He truly brought wisdom to each meeting and perspective for alumni programs and of course, humor. He was inspiring, memorable and leaves an impressive legacy. - from a past alumni director, thankful for his service to the School of Medicine and the greater community

I never met Dr. Reynolds but have been a friend of his son, Michael, since we were students at UofOregon. It is so hard to lose a parent, Michael, and I am sending my warmest thoughts, from Australia, to you, Carole and your family.

Dr Reynolds was an amazing man. Only Dr I remember growing up on Evergreen Street with the Reynolds kids and the rest of the neighbors like the Eichentopf's, Gatto's, Robinsons, Cooney's, Dindia's, Pond's and on and on. When I was very young he came to my rescue after having fallin out of the cherry tree on 42's and Evergreen. He came to my parent's house and treated my broken arm before being sent to the hospital for 3 weeks. He even came to see me in the hospital although he wasn't my regular Dr. I have never forgotten that. He was truely a gentle man with a heart of gold.

Hi Walt.......You may not remember me but we played Little League together for Friberg Electric, back in the late 1950's, early 1960's, along with your older brother and Bart Griswold...You were such a terrific pitcher and infielder.........Your Dad was always there, helping us get better on the field.........I always liked you and admired you, and your brother.........You were a year younger than me, I think.......I am now 70, a retired attorney, living in NW Portland with my wife of 49 years, and I have six lovely grandchildren all living in Portland with my two married children.........I remember your Dad when he was in involved with my dad, E. Kimbark MacColl (Portland's historian), in working with the Urban League of Portland, and I also remember when they, together, took care of Dr. Martin Luther King when he came to Portland.........My father thought your Dad was just an amazing person........So dedicated, so articulate, so responsible, so caring and so friendly..........I hope you are doing well.........Love to buy you a beer or lunch sometime at the Goose Hollow Inn, if you have time or the interest, so we catch up on the last sixty years......I hope you and your lovely family have a most joyous and Merry Christmas, along with a safe and healthy and peaceful New Year!!!!! Your old, old buddy, Kim

My parents, Peter and Betty Schenk, thought the world of Dr. and Mrs. Reynolds. They often talked about how they were the best neighbors. Our hearts go out to your at this difficult time.

What a wonderful tribute to Dr. Reynolds. My name is JoAnn Twitty Jackson. My Twitty family grew up close to the Reynolds. My older sister, Tanya knew Liz, and my younger sister Bobbie and l knew the family as well. Such a beautiful tribute, wonderful to read and remember. Blessings to all the family. Thank you.

I was a medical resident at Emanual Hospital in the 80's. I always respected who hard and the long hours that Dr Reynolds put in to care for his community. I was honored to know him. Best wishes to the family.

Dr. Walter Reynolds was my very favorite mentor while I attended OHSU. I spend a six week rotation with him, both at his office and shadowing him on his rounds at Emanuel Hospital in 1976. I have always felt that he embodied the essence of the caring, compassionate and extremely competent Physician and person. He has always been the model that I have tried to emulate in my career as a Physician.
