Walter Hubbard Turpin Jr, 91, of Phoenixville, PA and formerly of Frazer and Waterville, PA passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024, with his wife and daughter by his side.

Walter was born in West Chester in 1933, he was the son of the late Walter and Dorothy (Life) Turpin.

He attended East Whiteland Elementary School, West Chester Junior and Senior High School. Graduate from Temple University with a degree in electronics. Walter served in the United States Army.

Walter married his late wife Julia in June of 1954. They had two children, Keith and Julie Lynne.

Walter worked with his father at Turpin's Garage in West Chester from 1954 until they closed the business in 1984. Walter also worked at Matthews Ford of Paoli until he retired.

Walter retired to Waterville, PA in 1999 with Julia until she passed in 2010.

Walter married Jane Deery on October 15, 2011. They enjoyed 13 wonderful years together.

Walter was an avid hunter and angler and enjoyed traveling. He also enjoyed his two favorite Philadelphia sports teams the Eagles and the Phillies.

Walter is survived by his wife Jane Deery Turpin; his son Walter Keith Turpin and his family, wife Lisa, son Benjamin, wife Kimmy, daughter Kylie, son Bently, & daughter Alexandra Turpin; his daughter Julie Turpin Skymba and her family, husband Jim & son Kevin. His sister Wanda Reese and her family. His Deery Stepfamily (bonus) Christopher, Xerlan, Andrew, Cheryl, and step grandchildren Aaron, Jacob, Connor and Lila.

We were grateful and blessed to have Walter in our life as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday, August 17, 2024 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000, followed by his Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 AM. Casual Attire, please feel free to wear a Phillies or Fishing shirt, Walter's favorite color was blue.
