I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Wynnyk's passing. Fergie and I often met him on our walks down the alley and he always had a kind word and "pet" for her. We will miss him.

To Joan and family:

This is to express my deepest sympathy to you on the loss of Mr. Wynnyk. For me, he has been called Mr. Wynnyk since I first had him as a teacher and principal at Breton. He was a fine teacher and mentor, and I always had a lot of respect for him.

He will be greatly missed.

God Bless,
Gordon Munk

With our deepest condolences to the Wynnyk family. We will always remember Walter as a true Canadian role model for thousands of youth (and adults). It was through his leadership, that he was able to inspire many to go on to learn and grow into productive and strong adults.
Who could forget the annual visits of several consecutive Lieutenants Governor to the small Cadet Corps annual parades in Breton and Thorsby? Only Walter could arrange that. Or the regular military displays including trucks, Howitzer and artillery combat troops at the High Schools, even the rappelling displays featuring cadets scaling the walls off the gymnasium roof? Only Walter new the true value of inspiring and encouraging youth to be greater than they ever thought they could be.
The world is a better place because of Walter and his warm and unassuming style of guidance and influence.
Alberta and Canada has lost one of our finest officers and a gentleman.
We will miss him dearly.

My deepest condolences to all the Wynnyk family. I met Mr. Wynnyk on several occasions. He personified each role he took on with professionalism and dignity. He was also a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law. Through his work with young people he touched hundreds of lives who have gone on to consider and live the principles that he engendered in them.
He will be sorely missed by the civilian and military communities. His family will feel the loss the most. God Bless you and keep you.
Sincerely,
Paulette,Mary and Max Bachynsky
