Wanda Kerns

A graveside service for Wanda Kerns, 68, will be Saturday, December 13, 2008, at Blue Springs Cemetery in Etoile, Texas at 2 p.m. with Rev. Cary Modisett of Shawnee Church officiating and Bobby Kerns giving the eulogy. Mrs. Kerns passed away December 10, 2008 in Lufkin, Texas. She was born March 17, 1940, to Ewell and Ophelia Metcalf. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Lee and Hanna Kerns of Illinois; daughters and son-in-law, Brenda VanVickle of Wisconsin and Gayle and Oscar Del Bosque of Wharton, Texas; granddaughter, Carrie VanVickle of Wharton, Texas; grandsons, Jason Jones of Wharton, Texas, and Robbie Glowdowski of Wisconsin; sisters and brother-in-law , Gloria Lowery and John Gardner of Nacogdoches, Texas and Eldora Courtney of Zavalla, Texas; brother, Walter Metcalf of Zavalla, Texas and son-in-law Andrew VanVickle. She was preceded in death by husband, John Kerns ; parents, Ewell and Ophelia Metcalf and son, Bobby Frank Henry. Visitation will be Friday, December 12, 2008 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
