I worked with Wanda at both Machen and Booker Elementary Schools in Hampton, VA, and she was a wonderful, dedicated teacher and coworker. Our paths crossed again when my late mother Doris Helbig moved to The Chesapeake. I will always remember with appreciation the kindness that Wanda, then a resident of The Chesapeake, showed to my mother and I during those four years. May God bless you all with His peace.

It is difficult to process when your mother passes away. You have habits that you still think that you need to do for her. I will miss her saying, "Give me sugar"! That was her way of getting a hug and a kiss. She would say goodbye - " I love you to infinity and back." I would say - "and around the moon 100 times". This always gave her a chuckle.
I will always remember the special ways she would bless me and my family. There is no one like her.

Ms. Landis was a very special resident to me. She was so kind to me from day one of my employment at the Chesapeake. Everyday she saw me she always made sure to tell me that she loved me. She was so great at poetry and I was blessed to have her write some beautiful poems about me. I´m gonna miss our talks about family and life. Everytime I see a scrabble game I will think about her and every time I eat a Mr. Goodbar I will eat it in honor of her. I Love You More!

A loving, kind, and caring woman who has blessed me many times over. She will be truly missed but in the loving arms of our Savior Jesus Christ.

I love you to the moon and back and eternity 100 times! You were always my best mommy. A Cardinal came to sit on my deck rail. Still watching out for me.

Thank you for being my most beautiful and wonderful mother. You raised two girls with love and affection. You are missed by myself and all our family and extended family and friends.
