Wanda Ratliff Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 17, 2017.
Wanda Willouise Ratliff was born December 9, 1929 in Miller Grove, TX, and passed away July 16, 2017 in Dallas, TX.

Wanda enjoyed being active, enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves when she was younger, or later doing things like tending to the roses in her garden. However, no matter what the activity was, she and her husband, Edward, did them together. They enjoyed going to thrift stores looking for good deals, and they especially loved the time they spent at their lake home in Alba, TX, sometimes with friends and family, and other times just the two of them. No matter what, they found solace in each other, and treasured their time together. Edward passed away in 2015, and now that she has joined him, we know that he was waiting with open arms to welcome Wanda, and the pair are now together forever.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Edward B. Ratliff; and her parents, Rosko and Naomi Parsons.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Ratliff and Ronald Ratliff; sister, Lou Ray and husband Tom; nephews, Matt and Joseph; nieces, Nancy and husband, Scott and Julie and husband, Clinton; great-nieces and nephews, Mitch, Christopher, Stacy, Maddox, Daniel, Georgina and Lucy: as well as other extended family members and friends.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 24, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. Guests are welcome to gather at Grove Hill Funeral Home before the service, and drive to the interment site in the cemetery together.
