Wanda Katherine Wyand

Wanda Katherine Wyand, 63, of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, died October 26, 2022, at her North Kingstown residence.

Dr. Wyand was born January 25, 1959, in Burlington, Vermont, to Stuart and Corrine Wyand.

She grew up in Mansfield Center, CT. Wanda continued her education at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT, graduating with a B.S. in biology as a University Scholar with honors in 1980. She went on to complete her D.V.M at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, graduating in 1984.

She enjoyed sunny days at the beach, bird watching, and was a friend to all. She was a talented violinist, a passionate, skilled veterinarian, and a loving mother.

She is survived by her father, Stuart Wyand; brothers and their spouses, Michael and Jeanne Wyand, and Robert and Martha Wyand; children and their spouses, Ian and Jessica Ouellette, Matthew and Lauren Ouellette, Katherine Ouellette, and Peter Ouellette; several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Corrine Wyand and husband, John Dempsey.

A private burial will take place at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery.
