Hmmm...when I saw the question "how do I know him"...I was gonna click school since I was in his class, but I'll click family since my mom always said "he's ya cousin"... plus, because he always treated me like family and made me feel like family. :) 11yrs since you passed, but I finally found this page and wanted to say thanks for everything. You helped to set me straight Sr. year...probably saved my life. You were one of the best. Aloha!

I remember growing up in Second Bethlehem, looking and waiting for Mr. Warren to come out of the back office to make the announcements. As a kid I know looked up to him. I'm thankful God allowed him to cross my path. The joy I felt as people spoke at Mr. Warren's Service just confirmed the greatness that God had Blessed him with. I'll miss you but never forget you.

Bro. Warren Green epitomized our beloved fraternity's motto "Friendship Is Essential To The Soul". During the two years of our friendship Bro. Green took me in as a family member, introducing me to my brethren at the Rho Phi chapter and also the many friends that I have met and become acquainted with in the JUGS Social Club.

I am still coming to grips with the fact that I had just left him at the JUGS house. Everytime I see his photo I can hear his voice, "Alright Chump! I have fought a good fight, now get in there and continue the task at hand."

To God be the glory.

Warren filled my life with joy and happiness for over 30 years. He was a part of my family, and I will never forget him. I thank God for the gift of his friendship.

February 15, 2011

We echo many of the same expressions that have been given. They say time heals all wounds. We are deeply wounded and we pray for healing and understanding.

Jen and Steph, rest assured that we will be here for you as we have from the very beginning.

Warren, we love and miss you dearly. We thank God for allowing you to be part of our lives. Thank you for EVERYTHING.

Love Always,

The Lewis Family (New Orleans, LA and Missouri City, TX)

I was so inspired, reading the Guest Book of Mr. Green, About the GRADUATES and Students inspired by the ADVICE, and Mentoring of Mr. Green. Mr. Green truly, made a difference in their lives. That was " HIS CALLING" to made a DIFFERENCE in the lives and help TRANSFORM someone else's life, and that he did, weather Verbally, or Financially. I'm SURE GOD SAID," SIT DOWN FAITHFUL SERVANT AND REST, YOUR WORK IS FINISHED." WE SHOULD CELEBRATE THE LIFE OF MR.GREEN, HIS WORK ON EARTH IS FINISHED. WHAT A LEGACY? He Always had a SMILE, and an ENCOURAGING WORD FOR EVERYONE. HIS LIFE WAS A CELEBRATION!!

Mr.Green, was a dedicated to ensuring that his students were goal oriented and strived to be more than just average. He would question what you would do once you finished high school. He would insist that you fill out those applications for historically black colleges. He was an advocate for education. With that said he would do anything to ensure that you achieved beyond average status. A great educator, mentor, father and you will truly be missed.

To the legacy of Mr. Warren J. Green,

I am but one voice that echoes the sentiments of many who know first-hand the HONOR this giant of a man deserves....
Seeing potential, correcting paths, changing lives and fixing and fine-tuning focuses, and so much more he has done for so many young men and women. When I graduated in 1978, I was ready to face the world with all of its complex challenges and potential opportunities, because this "Great Life Preparer" helped sculpt and guide me and countless others in the right way!!! I say only heaven shall reveal the just reward he truly deserves.

Mr. Green, it was our pleasure to have known you, your family became became ours and you will never be forgotten. I still think aboout how he convinced me to stop using the word can't because if you continue to believe you can't do something you will handicap yourself in to believing it. His being our leader and mentor in Distributive Education made for a lot of great leaders, myself being VP('77-'78) and then President of the 1978-79 class at Booker T. Washington High. God bless you Mr. Warren J. Green, the Lord now has our friend, rest in peace. BTW Class of 1979

How does someone even begin to comment on someone as special and genuine as Warren? It is impossible to write here everything that He has meant to me, and My Family (Monique, Lil Barry, Josh). He has been my mentor, friend and one of my greatest supporters for the past 20 years. His creativity and energy were unparalled but were surpassed by His generousity of spirit, compassion and eagerness to share His world with others. I will never take for granted all of the things He taught me both personally and professionally. He is dearly loved and will be missed everyday." Your tears are just a release of the pain, sorrow, grief.
Your tears are expressions that can't controlled.
A little crying out is alright,
but after awhile you won't have to cry no more;
don't you worry, God's gonna wipe every tear away.Wepping may endure for a night,
joy will come in the morning.

To The Green Family & Friends,

Words cannot begin to heal the pain of losing someone so dear. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Please know how much you are loved and how deeply your loss is felt by all. May God give you the strength to overcome the pain.
