I always stand ready to accept the will of Our Father. I know you are finally in His arms, the goal we all seek. But my heart still aches, my friend, and words simply can't describe how much I miss you. You left me with such a gift of friendship and love. On your birthday, I remember you and honor you as you had been for most of my life - my friend. Until we meet again.

You were June before "Moose" and as it been said you were still the same fun, loving, helpful and caring person. Your smile, your legacy lives on in all who have had the pleasure of knowing you. To the Jones family, I know its not easy, but knowing that your love one is in a much better place, and that he was such an inspiration to so many will help you through. May god be with each and everyone of you, I know June is.

It's been a long time since I've seen Moose. We were very surprised to hear about the death of Moose. I will never forget those memorable basketball games at my parents house. Moose was a great person then, so I know he will be welcome in heaven, because I strongly believe he died that same good person. May God bless the entire Jones Family.

It still feels so unreal of losing Moose. Moose was a rare gem that God gave to many people. He was the one person that you could always count on to give you a "good to see you" smile. I had an opportunity at PV's 2007 homecoming to hang out with Moose, Vanessa, their girls, and his brothers at the tailgate party. That was one of my best times ever at homecoming. I tried to give him money for the food and drinks and he would not take it from me. I had plans to harrass him into to coming to PV's homecoming this year. Vanessa, Monique, Casey, and family, may God wrap his arms around you for comfort and may you find peace in the midst of your sorrow. Love for you always "Moose"!

To the Family of Warren "Moose" Jones, our thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of loss. My husband and I have known Moose since the early 1990's, playing ball at the Rec. Center. He has been a wonderful friend to us since day one. I hadn't seen Moose in about 2 years and then I saw him and Kasey eating at Lubys about 2 weeks ago. Still smiling, and joking with my son. He touched the lives of many people in his life. God has taken him home to be with his eternal family and I know he will be watching down on us from Heaven with that big smile he had. "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." You will truly be missed.

Last thursday I woke up in a joyful mood, it was my 50th birthday. Made it to the gym and worked out. After the gym I was on my way to the office when I got a call from home telling that Moose had died the day before. I have not felt the same since then. In high school Moose was a guy a grade behind me. But after college when I came back home Moose became a friend on the basketball courts of Booker T., Lamar and the beehive gym. I last spoke with Moose at c/o 89 reunion bauquet in July 09 and as always he greeted me the same way with that trademark voice of his with simply "Doc, what's up". You will be MISSED my friend but never forgotten. Your voice will carry on and your deeds will live in all that knew you or heard of you. To Vanessa and the girls, Greg and the rest of the family may God be with you all and remember that Doc prays are with each of you.

I remember when we played football at the Beehive. I used to love seeing Moose setting up the kick-return wave and Moose would maul one, two, or three guys on the opposing team. Everybody in the stands and on the bench would go WOOOOO, BIG MOOSE!! as he knocked out two or three guys at one time. As Coach Williams would say, "that's a textbook block there". Those were the good ole days. Just two months ago, Ronnie Jones called me as I approached City Hall where I ran into Moose. The 3 of us talked about buying property and giving back to the community. He assisted us on property leads all the while with his gentle giant smile. God bless you, Moose and your family and friends. May God keep you and may His face shine upon you. Psalm 34: 1-9

Moose was a delight to know. His size and deep voice made him appear to be someone to fear, but to those who knew him, he was a teadybear. He will be greatly missed.

Losing someone so close is difficult, we know! You feel as though, they left too soon!!! but, GOD has a plan and a purpose! Terrance and Vicki...Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs3-

I remember playing with you when we were kids. I was a tom-boy the only girl in the bunch, but you and your other brothers always protected me. Now you can join your Mom, Dad, Aunt Stella and my mom aunt Hilda in heaven. They are waiting for you. One day I will join you all. May God Bless the family.

First meet "Moose" in the 80"s when someone invited him to play on the Port Arthur Police basket ball team at T.J. High School gyn. This was a fund raiser for the school and we were playing some players from the Houston Oiler's football team. Was "Moose" a welcome sight? Yes he was for those football players were some really big boys! We lost by 8 points that night.
Actually I did WIN that night for in all these past years, I have considered "Moose" a FRIEND. We always had a smile for each other, a healthy hand shake, and a hug. What a guy! "Moose" you will be missed.
If each of us could only have half the respect and friends that "Moose" had in his life time, how Blessed we would be!

To the Jones family you are in my prayers. Yesterday at church there was a deep void as I watched the youth ushers carry on without Moose...Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Be comforted that he is with the Lord for his reward. May God continue to bring you comfort.
