Warren played the guitar in high school. He taught me 4 chords on the ukulele and an Eberly brothers' song that we did together. He was a good friend.

Warren
So much to say,
How time does fly,
That impish smile,
The twinkle of his eye.
While he walked this earth
in loose touch we did stay.
Now that he's gone
of him I think almost each day.
Four years we shared a sphere
(so much together)
too much to put down here.
Across the States we did move together.
As one our knot was tied.
Seemed like We would be forever,
but love shifted, then it sighed...
We had a great run,
left with just the memory
of all we had done.

Warren was my classmate in elementary and high schools in Newark, NJ. He was certainly as friendly as described. He lived just beyond the playground of Chancellor Avenue grammar school. One day he invited me for lunch at which his mother had prepared a most delicious hot meal of hamburgers. I remember smothering them in ketchup and from then on, even through high school, we would laugh about hamburgers & ketchup as our signature private-joke-dish. Rest in peace, dear Warren whose photo here is exactly the way I remember that sweet man.

It has been a long time since I last saw you in the 1970s, Warren, and an even longer time since we were roommates at Rutgers/Gamma Sigma. But I never forgot your wit and passion, and, of course, your compassion and kindness. R.I.P.

I loved Warren. It has been many years since we have seen each other, but we started a yearly phone check-in and update because we had history together and had reconnected in recent years.
Warren was a very kind, loving and seriously good person. Mostly I remember him as a good person, always showing great consideration for others. Socially astute, he loved a gathering with lively conversation and had the ability to disagree with someone without belittlement. His smile was disarming and he loved to bring out the humor in others or in a situation. Not only did he teach ethics, he lived ethics. Warren was a truly ethical man.
I carry many warm memories of life with Warren. We were young. The world was ours and we loved each other. But the world was bigger than we thought and ethics and mores in the 60's were unruly and restlessly shifting, leading our paths to separate. In many ways he was on a hero's journey following the road of philosophical social work. I know he touched and affected the lives of many. His was a life well lived in service to others.
My heart is with his family and all those who loved him. I know we are richer for having known him. May his goodness live on and spread through us. Earth was a better place because he walked it.

A most congenial colleague who was truly dedicated to his students and the university. He liked to call his witty comments “perverbs”! I will always remember his infectious smile

I Had the privilege of meeting Warren through a great mutual friend. Although I met him briefly, we shared alot in common from our love of Philosophy to sports. He had a great sense of humor and was awesome to talk to. He lives on through the people he impacted. Rest easy Warren!
