I did live sound engineering in central Florida, and worked with a number of King Snake Records artists including Warren King. He was always a great guy and a monster guitar play with a huge tone. I still have sitting on the shelf somewhere unreleased live recordings, audio, video, and lots of photographs I one day hope I can share with the world. For now, I am including here one of my photos of Warren playing at the Orlando House Of Blues performing with the Midnight Creepers on January 23, 1998. He, and I, along with Ace Moreland and Bob Greenlee and Auggie Antoine use to hang out and have a lot of fun together. RIP Warren! I think of you often, and listen to your music often too! One of my favorite tracks by Warren is his Hurricane instrumental and his lead work on Floyd Miles song "Going Back To Daytona" recorded live on one the cruise ship outings called "Blues On The High Seas" on King Snake Records label also 1998.

Warren, you never failed to touch me with your music, humor and spirit. From the days we did shows together when you were with the Silencers, to the good times and jams shared in Orlando during your Midnight Creeper days! Wherever you're jamin', Brother, hold a slot for me till we meet again.

Oh Warren,Sorry to see you go. I haven't seen you in about thirty five years, and still your image is crisp and clear in my head.
My days doing sound for you and the other guys in Diamond Reo will always be a movie I replay in my head.
About a year ago, an old friend sent me a few pictures from the 70's and your's was one of them.
Funny, we didn't hang out, we just worked together and you still had an impact on me. You played great guitar, but I remember you more than your guitar.
Rest In Peace, my friend.

Warren was a great guitarist and a gentle soul. Warren and I played in a band called Black Bart in the early 70's. Warren was a natural and talented player who went on to entertain many people over the years. He will be missed by all who knew him. My thoughts are with Warren's family and his many friends.

The world will be a quieter place without ya man... you certainly could wail! God bless!

One of the greatest experiences of my creative life was working with Warren and The Silencers, writing songs with them and hearing them play them live. Warren lent his masterful work to some additional recordings that I produced in that same era, and he always could deliver exactly what the recording needed. An instinctive and fiery player. The entire Pittsburgh music community will miss him and his astounding talent.

Dear Mrs. King and Family,
I knew of Warren only slightly, but wish you only the best of days ahead. (Knowing Warren through Dennis on Coleman Drive - living on Leslie Drive long ago.)
He must have been truly a wonderful man, and I know he will be missed.
(My sister (Karen) and a friend gave me the info on Warren.)
Best to You all,

I'd like to express my sympathy to Warren's family and to tell them that he was kind, considerate, and a gentlemen in the true sense of the word. He was a joy to talk to and always made me laugh. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him for his musical genius and his personality. I only wish I could have known him longer but heaven needed a master on the guitar.
A great pic of Warren from 1975.
