Dear Mrs. Mathis and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I have lost touch with your family for years, but you will always be Special to me and my Girls. Mrs. Mathis your such an inspiration to me the love you have for your family is Amazing. Mr.Mathis taught me and my family so much about the importance of having GOD in our lives. I send love and Prayers to all of you, I am sorry I missed the showing.

Dear Betty and family. How I wish I could be there with you during this time, but I now live in Colorado. Rev. Mathis baptized me at the Ft. Sq. Christian Church when I was 10 yrs old. I remember the absolutely wonderful VBS programs each year and the camp at Allendale. Pastor was a dear person and I remember him well. I have several pictures of a Sunday School class party when you lived on Raymond St. Betty you were a dear Christian and role model for me. Thank you so much. Dearest Mathis Family,
I can only imagine how much you miss him+. He is having a wonderful talk with his heavenly father, I am certain+ I never met a finer, greater minister than Rev Mathis! God blesses you all! See you on Tuesday and Wednesday. We all loved him dearly and will see him someday in paradise. Amen.
