Mr Mays...you ran across my mind today. You were my teacher back in middle school at the Family alternative school. You were a great man and I would not be where I am today without you. Rest well sir

I will be praying for Mama Lenora Mays & the Mays (legacy) family. I will always keep him close to my heart. He was like a father figure and his revival sermons changed my life. Will be missed.

Dear Mays,

How can I forget the many times getting off of the 101 Trolley on my way to work at Abounding Grace Family Worship Center a few block up when we were in Media.

I think seeing the smiling face and waving hand of Rev. Mays as he stood on the steps of Second Baptist Church will be missed by so many. He was a blessing to the community and Abounding Grace as well. He opened the doors of the church to allow us to hold Baptism there. How can anyone forget that kindness. He exemplified what the Body of Christ should be doing and that is to work together for the cause of Christ.

Again he will be missed.

My prayer is that the family and church ministry will remain in love, unity and oneness before the Lord until they see him is glory. Amen.

Love,
K. Field

It was a pleasure and honor to know this great and awesome man of God. Rev Mays was loved by everybody! He always made you feel loved, welcomed and encouraged you to use the gifts that God gave you! I loved it when my church choir as well as my old singing group got the opportunities to surprise him by
showing up at his church and ministering in song. He would be so overjoyed and he definitely let you know he was excited and thankful for us coming out to celebrate on many different occasions. I will always remember when my group Genesis surprised him at a revival and showed up to sing at his church. He made an extended version of "All Things Come of the O Lord! It was the best!
I love you Rev. Mays. Rest well!

I had the pleasure of being enrolled with Warren at West Chester State College in the early 1970's. He was well known among our classmates has a serious and kind student and an outstanding athlete. He and I had a chance meeting a few years ago traveling by bus from Washington DC to Wilmington. During our brief exchange, his love for his family and church community was evident. A life well lived. I extend my condolences to his immediate and extended families.
