Dear Scott and Pummy,
I am very sorry for your loss. I tried my first case before your father, and he was always decent and professional toward me and the many individuals I had as clients. He had a remarkable ability to sort out the things in the criminal and civil system that merited attention from those that did not. I feel fortunate for having had the opportunity to know him.

I always enjoyed appearing before Judge Morgan. Like all lawyers, I often disagreed with him, but then again, roughly half of people who go to court leave unhappy. He had a remarkable ability to recognize merit from hollow words, and to move cases along better than any of the dozens of judges I have appeared before. He also seemed to have the ability to look directly into a person's soul, and grant mercy when justified. Today's USA could use many more Judge Warren Morgans. My deepest condolences to his family.
