NIX Wayland Nix, age 84, passed away, Wednesday, May 02, 2007. Mr. Nix was a native of Wadley, Alabama and worked as a Diesel Mechanic for Ryder Truck Rental for 27 years and he also served in the Army Air Corps at the end of WWII. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Josephine Nix, 3 sons, Gary D. Nix, Sr., Ronald Wayland Nix, Sr. and Anthony B. Nix, Sr., 3 brothers, T.J., Eugene and James Nix, 2 sisters, Maurice and Sally, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held, Monday, May 7, 2007 at 11:00am in the CHAPEL of FRASER FUNERAL HOME, 8168 Normandy Blvd., (781-4314) with Rev. Jim Kilpatrick officiating followed by interment in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 - 5:00pm Sunday.
