Wayne CAPLING Obituary
After a very full life which included travelling the world, Wayne died peacefully at age 80 on August 2, 2016. Loving husband to Patricia (nee Evans) he will be greatly missed by his sons David and Tom, daughter-in-law Louise and son-in-law Steve. Predeceased by his daughter Dawn (Mrs Stephen Brown) he will be fondly remembered by his granddaughter Colleen Brown and his grandsons Owen, Mac and Xavier Capling. Survived by his sister Maebeth (Mrs. Douglas Moon). At Wayne's request, there will be no visitation or funeral services. The family wishes to thank the West Island Palliative Care Residence for their support.

I will never forget Wayne, he was one of the first people I met in Saudi, me being a young "green" expat. Wayne, took me under his wing and showed me the ropes. I could not have had a better manager ... God bless you Wayne and glad you have found peace, it was an honour to have met you.

Dear Pat,
I am sad and shocked to hear of your loss of a man that I looked up at (literally) with respect and an honor to know Wayne.
Wayne helped mold my career and during our 7 years of close friendship in Saudi, (days and nights) I developed a personal liking to the MAN that walked tall and carried a big stick(baseball bat)!
I will miss speaking and visiting Wayne in Montreal when I pass through.

Wayne was my first foreman when I started at Bell in May 1966.I often think of those days,and have fond memories of his humour and his patience with a very immature nineteen year old.After 43 plus years at Bell,I like to think Wayne had a hand in it.My condolences.
