It is very heartbreaking to loose a classmate. I always thank the MAN ABOVE for all the fun times we had. I will NEVER forget all those "crazy" days @SHS. I will forever cherish those years. Sympathies to all his family.

Wayne went to first grade with me at Bauerstown Elementary School. He got me in to Cub Scouts and we remained friends, mostly from afar as we moved here and there with a 20+ year time in Florida. But he was a friend both times I returned to Shaler: in early High School and then finally back there to Graduate. I'm writing this with tears and prayers for him and Pat. I so much believe in living by example and Wayne and Pat have always done that and have been in my messages about that to my kids and grandkids. Rest in Peace my friend.

Pat, I am so sorry you lost your beloved Wayne. I was on a double date with you and Wayne when you had your first date. I could tell that you all fell madly in love with each other on the first date. May Wayne rest in peace. Denni Saunders Coker (Shaler class of 1961. In year book as Denise Kay Saunders.)

Words cannot express my sadness when I read of Wayne's passing. My thoughts go back to our first meeting when Wayne came to work at Rust Engineering, at the age of 24. We have been coworkers and friends ever since. When Rust closed the Pgh. office, Wayne went back to Chem Plants, but worked the overtime hours at Master Engineers, where I was working. Then we both ended up ay Dravo Corp. Things that I remember are the cookies that Pat would send us and the times that Kelly would stop by the office to visit her dad. And also our last very short passing at Hienz Field at a Pitt Football Game last fall.
Not sure what I could do but if there is anything that you might want me to do, don't hesitate to let me know.
