Dr. Wayne E. Lewis Sr.

I had the pleasure of work with Dr. Lewis at Nottoway High School where he served as the Assistant Principal. He was always full of encouragement, he helped me to develop as a man and a teacher.

I was privileged to work with Dr. Lewis during his time at Essex County Schools. He was a dedicated educator, who truly cared for both students and fellow educators. This trait is greatly needed today, and it made him an extra special administrator. In addition, he always had a kind word for those with whom he worked, and could lift their spirits with a smile. When he retired, I gave him a card and added the sentiment of "Shine on!" I feel confident that that is just what he is doing now, in the glory of heaven. Rest in peace, my friend!
