Wayne Marshall, age 71, of Russellville, Ky., passed away Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, in the Logan Memorial Hospital.
Wayne was born Aug. 8, 1944, to the late Melzo "Pete" Marshall and Willie Lawton Marshall in Muhlenberg County Ky.
Wayne was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church for over 59 years where he served as a Deacon and caretaker of Oak Grove Cemetery for many years. He retired from BTR where he worked in Tool and Die.
Wayne is preceded in death by his sisters, Florine Akins, Helen Cropper Lack and Mary Louise Marshall and his brothers, Robert Marshall, George Marshall and John Marshall.
He is survived by hife wife of 48 years, Juanita Marshall of Russellville, Ky.; his son, Adam Wayne Marshall and wife Amy of Russellville, Ky.; his daughter, Jessica Marshall Lowery and husband Eric Charles of Russellville, Ky.; his sisters, Agnes Kinser and Willard of Russellville, Ky., Janice Marshall of Russellville, Ky., Jerry Ann Long of Russellville, Ky. and Marylin Kay Goodman and Kenneth of Elkton, Ky., and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services for Wayne Marshall will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6 in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Brother Wilbur Powell, Brother Bob Barnes and Brother Gene Bracken officiating. Burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Jan. 5 in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 6 from 8 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1 p.m.
Pallbearers are Corey Cropper, Brian Cropper, Jeff Cropper, Timmy Long, Kevin Scott, Brian Blick, David Loyd and Eric Charles Lowery. Honorary pallbearers were the Deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Oak Grove Cemetery Fund or Gideon's envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear about Wayne. Sorry I could not attend Wayne's Service. We are in Florida for the winter. We will miss him. He was a good man.
