Wayne Perrin Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 30, 2025.
Sidney "Wayne" Perrin, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong resident of Alabama, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025 at home in Alabaster. He was 78 years old.

Born on August 14, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama, Wayne attended West End High School, where he excelled in multiple sports. He continued his education at Jefferson State College.

Wayne's commitment and work ethic sustained Birmingham Beverage for over four decades, where he faithfully served as warehouse manager and purchasing agent.

A man of deep faith, Wayne was a devout Catholic and active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. He served faithfully as an usher and was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.

Wayne enjoyed life's simple pleasures-fishing, woodworking, yardwork, golfing, and cruising in his convertible Mustang. Saturdays in the fall were reserved for cheering on Alabama Football. Above all else, he cherished his role as "PaPa" to his five grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Vinzene Monte Perrin; sons Jeff Perrin, MD and John Perrin (Karin); grandchildren Braxton, Alanna, Greyson, Alex, and Jaxon Perrin; brother Don Perrin (Ruby); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Hollis and Juanita Perrin; brothers John "Buddy" and Joe Perrin.

Wayne's legacy is one of steadfast love for family, unwavering faith, tireless dedication to work, and joyful living. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire all whose lives he touched.

May Wayne Perrin rest in peace. From this obituary I understand what an awesome son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grand, friend and/or acquaintance he was. He was strong and fiercely fought his cancer. Vin and all were right by his side cheering him on. All in God´s time. They are an inspiration to us all . Prayers and deepest sympathy.
